My graduation

Okay, well, it’s time to talk about my graduation in Bentley campus.

My graduation day fell on the 12th of February 2008. Unlike in Miri campus, Bentley campus’s graduation days were held in many days all over February. Tooooo many students!! One ceremony is like approximately 400+ students. Gosh…

All graduates were sitting in front where as visitors behind.

This was how it looks like to be held openly instead of indoor. (only for February graduation)

2 screens were displayed to give the audience a clearer vision.

All those PHD graduates on the stage.

Turning back to face our parents as a respect

When we have just arrived campus for my graduation

With mum and dad

Jeanette, me, teck lim, ing ming and janet infront

colin, me, edna, delicia and teck lim graduating on the same day as me

Met Fiona's sister graduating on the same day as me ^ ^

With my business capstone friends (Monique my HK groupmate and Andrew my classmate)

Do you know how terrible it was to wear the regalia during summer season in Perth? Freakingly HOT!!! Hot till I felt kindda sick after that ceremony =(

When the ceremony had come to an end...I looked pale

However, the special thing for February’s graduation in Curtin is that we can enjoy nice fireworks just after the ceremony ended. Very nice =)

Actually, I wanted to show the video screening me on stage and also the fireworks taken by my bro but the files are toooooo big!! Can't bother to wait that long. But never mind, I came out with an idea of using my mobile phone to take it from my laptop. hehehe... Though it's blur but at least it shows something from it. =D

A short clip of my stage presentation:

Luckily nothing sia soi happen to me xD....I was rather worry of my foot step wearing the high heels. Should practice wearing high heels more I guess.

By the way, here are the 9 different photos taken in the studio. Have a look. =)

Well, I look nice in some photos, but some not so nice =.=

Many people said I don't really look like myself in the photos.....why?? =.=

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! (Though it’s a bit late)

How did I spend my new year’s eve? For the past 2 years I’d been spending my New Year ’s Eve countdown in KL’s clubs. BUT for this year…HaHa…I was at home watching TVBS Asia with parents. Quite nice though….because it was raining cats and dogs that night. xD

2007 has been erm… quite a fulfilling year for me?
In 2007, I…

  • Ended my “unpleasant” love life, which is a new beginning for me
  • Said goodbye to some friends in Miri Campus
  • House got broke in and lost my new Toshiba laptop T.T
  • Hurt someone badly... (Trust me, this is not what I want but I'm glad it turned out to be a good thing in the end)
  • Had my last semester in Bentley Campus as a student exchange (really feel lucky that I got this chance!)
  • Met a lot of new friends in Perth (especially my lovely housemates who gave me so much supports and advices, and some friends I hang out with...too many to list out here)
  • Mingled around with people from different countries
  • Met my old net friend in building 402, suprisingly!
  • Got mistaken as a Korean?? *faint*
  • Graduated in Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Marketing)
  • Met the Voon’s family in Perth
  • Experienced winter, spring and summer seasons in Perth
  • Experienced somthing eerie one night in Perth (Gosh! really scared me off!!)
  • Visited Melbourne and discovered the beauty of nature
  • Worked as a waitress in Hans Café
  • Started to LOVE sushi!
  • Bought my first perfume!

What happened in year 2007 was really unexpected as I never think that I would come through so much in life. Like what people always say, we can never know what lies ahead our path. Moreover, I wanna thanks those who helped me so much last year. Will always remember you and cherish our friendship, no matter what...~

In this New Year of 2008, it is the beginning of my career life. ~.~ Though I enjoy being a student (especially in oversea), working experience is still important for oneself. So, I will start my job searching in Kuching soon *sigh*. Also, I gonna improve my driving skill! I’m not so HoMia to have driver sending me to work all the time…haha!

Besides, my hope for this New Year is to be successful in my career undertakings. I understand that it will be difficult for me in the starting but I am willing and ready to face all the obstacles! Wish me luck guys!

Last but not least, the most important thing that I need in this New Year is “Happiness”, not only for me but for everyone around me ^^ “Troubles”….shoooo far far away!

Once again, Happy New Year and Good Luck to everyone! *winkz*

My story in Melbourne

The previous post was just photos taken in Melbourne, not much of the descriptions because I was not in the mood.

So I’ll try to explain as much as possible here. I went to Melbourne with my housemates, Hui Ji and Hui Yi. And we stayed at Tessa’s place. Tessa is my ex-housemate’s (G Jia) cousin and also my housemates’ ex-housemate (meaning she stayed in the same house as me before). Haha…what a small small world!

Tessa’s place is an apartment named Flagstaff Gardens located at La Trobe Street in the city. So imagine we saw trams, cars and people busy walking around once we came out from Flagstaff Gardens, unlike Perth, No, should be Bentley. Whatever lah… hehe

So what’s interesting in Melbourne? For me, Melbourne is more happening than Perth, of cause. And everywhere is food, food and food again. The food portion is BIG and slightly cheaper than Perth. So eating there is worth it!

My favorite place in Melbourne is all the chocolate stores there. You can sense the chocolate once you enter the store. I was like…waaaaaaaaaaaaaa so nice!!! Chocolates are made in different shapes and features to welcome the coming season of Christmas. And when you take a look at the price, you will WAAAAAAAAA even louder (inside your heart). If I am not mistaken, one pack of chocolate with 9 pieces will cost around A$25 to A$30. *SWT*

Once, we had high tea in one of the chocolate stores, named Koko Black. And you know what? I got melted once I taste the chocolate, especially the chocolate drinks! Gosh! Love it SO MUCHHH!! My housemate took some photos of it but too bad I forgot to get it from her.

Besides hanging around in the city we also visited The Great Ocean Road. The trip cost A$110 per person and was half-day long from 8.30am to 8.30pm. Trust me, if you are a nature lover, you will love this trip very much!! I fell in love with the scenery which can never be seen in Malaysia.

However, the drawback of this trip was the flies-attacked (due to the season). EWwww… very very disgusting! Imagine a cluster of flies stick on your back or your butt. This was what I saw from people around me. GELIK CHIN I tell you!!! Like what I mentioned before, the flies are not attracted to food but humans!! Because of this, I kept on flapping my jackets all the way to avoid flies sticking to me!! Haha!

What else….Hrmm…

Oh ya we walked from city to suburb just to taste the famous Brunetti cakes. It was a long walk to the destination and my legs got sore and accidentally slipped down on the way back. *sob* Luckily there were no one else beside my own friends. If not memang SIA SOI!! No worries, I was fine but my butt HURTs! Numbed awhile and remained normal after a few seconds. Wakaka!

Brunetti's cakes

Ok lah, I think that’s all about my trip in Melbourne. Too much to talk about liawz! Ciao~
