Is this the life I’m having now? Can’t believe…
Just share something here with everyone or who ever is reading this. I have a thought recently. I might spend half a year in Europe countries as a part time worker and traveler sometime later. Anyone interested? Probably after one year?. Just a thought anyway. But if you’re interested pls do not hesitate to share with me. =) Life is not about earning how much money and trying hard to be successful in career, BUT how meaningful you spend your life. For me, my main goal in life is to travel the world, experience different life and culture. Of course, this is not as easy as said. It’s like a dream. Not everyone in this world can be lucky enough to have the chance to travel far away and expose to many wonderful things outside. In fact, I always feel envy towards people who can spend their study life far away in overseas. Though I have mine as short as 5 months in Australia, I still feel insufficient to fulfill my dream. Definitely not enough!

Evil thing I came across
I’m fine with attacks.
I will SMILE, still, in front of the little evil creature
Pretend to be blur, stupid or whatever that can be described
I will be NICE
Nice as if everything is FINE
Yes it’s all fine…
Because I believe all these little evil creatures will one day be devastated
Sorry to be a lil’ nasty here.
Fuck off from my life u evil thing!

what should I say?
It’s been a long time I haven’t been spending my time lingering in front of my laptop chatting, watching drama, surfing for clothes or beauty products or wandering in friendster. Working life is just so different! I just couldn’t spend my time in front of the laptop too much after work. I felt so stress and uneasy when I face the laptop!
That’s the reason I hardly came online or online as in “Away” in msn. Sorry if didn’t get to reply msg from someone or I happen to miss my reply.
There are many things that I wanna tell in my blog but it seems really hard to express. Many thoughts flooded my mind over the time.
Guess I better go to bed now and have a GOOD sleep… will “say out” something when the mood comes :)

Look forward
That’s what I need to keep on reminding myself.
There’s no point to look back at the past, no point thinking and dreaming of it... It’s just too horrifying to have part of our life living unrealistically in the past where we knew it’s merely a dream we desperately yearn for…
Life is no longer the same as before, I have to change myself in order to complement what I have now…
Life change, people change and our principle will change as we move on to the next stage in life…
No regrets in everything I do, no turning back, and move forward for a better future and success...

My career, my company, my colleagues
"I’m finally back to my Blogging World!!"
Just realized Lee Ping has a Blog as well!! Cool! Seem like more and more friends are having their own personal blog to keep everyone updated despite of the distance or time being apart.
And I actually understand from Su Han’s blog that I have been idle in blogging for 4 weeks! Darn…That’s the reason I should blog now for being a more responsible blogger! =D
Okay, straight to the point about my career in Singapore. I mentioned that I got a job in the previous post, as a Marketing Support Assistant in one of the real estate companies. So I believe people or friends would want to know how I have been doing in this company.
First of all, the company comprises the General Manager (our Big Boss), 3 managers (2 sales managers and 1 marketing manager), currently 1 sales executive, 2 telemarketers and me the marketing assistant. There will be 3 more staffs joining us next month for the sales executive and telemarketing positions. For your info, my job scope is basically assisting the 3 managers and doing telemarketing.
At the present time, I am more into the administration work such as updating the data base and producing comprehensive listing for the clients. And for that reason, I am responsible to search for a suitable software which can enable me to do my work more efficiently! Gosh I really need it ASAP!!!
Anyway, what’s interesting in this company is our staffs come from different regions and cultures! This is what makes our company unique and stands out from the others. If you noticed the photos I’ve posted in my friendster album, there are Russian Koreans (Russia born Koreans), German, Singaporeans, Malaysian (Me) and most probably Indonesian in the coming month. Therefore, I call our company the MNC =D
I would say that it’s fun to work with them as everyone tends to be very outgoing and interesting! Most importantly, they have been teaching me a lot of new things and at the same time improved me from my weakness. =) Thanks alot girls!
We had so much fun together in just a month working together …funny things and jokes do happen over the time….LOL! =x And I am glad we are getting more and more chummy over the time ^_^
In fact, I got to know different cultures and languages from my colleagues too. For example, “Priviat”, “Ciao”, “Tsuiz”, “Paka” etc (spellings are most probably wrong). I am just too eager to know different languages =)

A gleam of sunshine in my life
What an experience I had in Singapore during my job hunting period. I encountered many things and at the same time gained a lot of information. In terms of job searching, we cannot scrutinize every detail from one aspect but every aspect of it. Different job position has different barriers and requirements thus we must be aware of it in order to achieve.
However, there are always ups and downs in life or there won’t be what we call 'LIFE'.
Now that I came back to my hometown, feeling so warmed by the surroundings and people. I just love and miss my hometown!!
For those who are concerned, I have found a job as a Marketing Assistant in a company dealing with real estate and property. I hope this is a good start for me as a junior or fresh graduate. Also, I believe I can learn a lot of things in this company and earn as much as possible!! Hiak hiak~
Well, some of you might think why am I in Kuching since I have found a job? The answer for this is I am currently waiting for my special pass to be done in order to work in Singapore. So, here I am in Kuching having my last session of goyang kaki! Must really really treasure it this time! ^_^

Tolerance
A gleam of sunshine, a tiny hope for success, a path towards future…
It’s always cold inside in spite of the temperature beyond.
I was thinking, if everything was set to examine my tolerance? I always used to believe I am a tolerant person. The past has proven my tolerance towards obstacles I’ve been through. I will never say give up because I wanna prove I can do it. I can be tough enough to handle things and overcome my weaknesses. I am proud of myself, for being someone better than before, and for being someone who can think rationally and wisely in every circumstance. Well, maybe not every single one but at least I always ensure I am on the right track.
“忍耐是一种痛苦的磨练,是对成功的渴望,对自我的挑战,也是对自己意志力的锤炼”。
But, how long can I sustain??
Maybe, my desire towards success is over the border.
Maybe, I should let myself relax awhile.
Maybe, it’s a lesson for me.
Maybe, it’s a test for me.
Maybe, I am just being unfortunate.
Words can’t exactly tell my thoughts and feelings now.
Sometimes, I just don’t understand what exactly I should go for.
Sometimes, I dislike the way I am.
Sometimes, I hope I am someone else.
Sometimes, I think I should accept the way I am.
Sometimes, I was thinking life is on my own hand and because of that, I can change everything I want in life.
However sometimes, not everything I want can really be mine, so I have to let go…
Now that I started to feel exhausted for being always patient, patient and patient
I doubt myself…
我可以再忍耐吗? 还是逃避?
How I wish I was on the beach now to shout out as loud as possible! Throw out all the confusions and troubles I have inside me! Too bad all I can see in Singapore are buildings, roads and cars. Boring zzz~
Really miss those nice sceneries in Australia! How I wish to go there again =(

I wish to spend my time sitting on the bench enjoying the beauty of nature and breathing in fresh air.
Or

Laying on the seashore to feel the movement of wave!

Words to express
Always bear in mind, “Never expect too much from something or someone as it leads to disappointment”.
Anyway, what I really wanna focus on now is my career. I’ll just let other things to be set aside first. This doesn’t mean I do not care, but I’m just too tired to bother so much already.
I don’t expect much now as long as I can stay tough and be strong enough to face everything in my life. Should I say I feel helpless?? ........No one can help me but myself...
I'm glad that I have friends who are always there to support and care about me though they are not by my side. And of course, my beloved parents and relatives in Kuching. I promise to show my achievement one day.
I just hope time passes as fast as possible because I’m looking forward the future which I believe will be a brighter one!
Will blog more when I found a suitable job!

Singapore!
It has been 6 days since I arrived here. At first, I felt kindda uneasy with the life here. Staying 10 levels above and walking with people pushing here and there. *swt*.
Miss driving and walking around without people squeezing me instead of being a sandwich here. @.@
Anyhow, 6 days passed and I started to get used to the life here. I’m good in adapting new places or environment, so no worries *winkz*
How can I get used to the environment quickly? Firstly, I have experience staying abroad alone (during my study in Perth). Besides, I went out alone often using a MRT map
Well, so far I’ve been to Ochard, Vivo City, Bugis and China Town. Going to Suntec Mall later to meet my beloved relatives again =D I’m glad bro and his gf bought me a Singapore pocket guide (map included) for my birthday because it really ease me a lot in my journey. Thanks a lot!
Regarding my job hunting, I had an interview with the agent yesterday at Bugis. Gosh, I was wearing high heels walking all the way to look for the company. The agent introduced me to do sales for beauty products. They couldn’t disclose the company name. Sienz~. However, this is not the job I’m looking for. I’m actually looking for marketing rather than sales. =.= Thus, I have 3 days to consider about it.
Moreover, I received a call from New York Solution just now for an interview next Monday at Jurong East (shit this is so far!!). Again, it’s another beauty center but it’s not doing sales. The position for me in New York Solution is management trainee. Not quite sure about the job but I will give it a try at least an interview. Seems like I have fate with beauty center… @.@
All in all, I hope I can get a good job with good pay ASAP!! Ciaoz~

Farewell
Just had a dinner with Rowin, Vivien, Jeremy and his Gf at Sushi King, Spring! I really do enjoy the meal with them and I think we had 14 plates of sushi!! The price is still reasonable because we have the sms promotion which allowed us to buy 1 free 1 for each plate of sushi, very wu hua lei?? ^ ^ ( For more info, feel free to ask me) This is my first sushi meal in Kuching lei~ and also the first time for me to taste salmon! Finally, I swallowed salmon! Oh dear~ Thanks for Vivien. Haha… The way she eats salmon tempted me to give it a bite xD Will miss u guys lots, my movie mates aka limteh mates!!! Feel so unwilling to leave them so soon… =(

Besides, I had another dinner with Kevin, Wennie and Pei yee at Mr. Ho’s Restaurant the previous night. We shared 4 different western dishes which then caused us FULL till the brim …*burp* Too bad Wennie was too busy or else we could have spent more time together that night. Anyway, thanks a lot for being such a nice friend for me. =)

Last but not least, I’m glad I have the chance to meet up my childhood playmate aka cousin (my Biao Ge), Johnson who just came back from KL. It’s been more than a year since we last met. Brought him to Spring this afternoon, I mean yesterday for a walk. But too bad he complaint nothing much to shop… *swt* of course KL is still better…:s

Some updates in Kuching
Well, life in Kuching ain’t that interesting at all so nothing much to tell. Thus, I’ll just briefly describe things that I do during my “goyang kaki” period. XD
Basically, I’ll be my mum’s personal driver during the weekdays sending her to work and anywhere she wants to go. Among these week days, Wednesday will be a movie day with Rowin, Vivien, Jeremy and his girlfriend. Friday will be lim teh day with some high school friends (normally). As for weekends, there will be a gathering dinner at grandma’s place every Saturday night. Sunday will be real BORING staying at home. =(
So this is basically my life in the recent days and I am waiting towards my days in Singapore!! =D
Hrm, feel like talking about what I did today. Hehe…okay here comes my personal diary!
As usual, I sent mum to work this afternoon. It’s a HOT HOT day *swt* There were 2 tasks to be settled after that. First, ordered my own birthday cake =.= , then sent my comforter to laundry for dry cleaning.
My birthday is supposed to be next Friday but because grandma will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow so my relatives asked if I want to celebrate mine as well with grandma ( me and grandma celebrate birthday together almost every year, that’s why). I’m actually not in the mood for birthday. Don’t know why.
Aunt 7 called me this morning.
Aunt: Xin ah! Just woke up??
Me: yea…(in a sleepy tone)
Aunt: R u gonna celebrate birthday tomorrow?
Me: I think so…(in an uncertain tone)
Aunt: huh?? U think so?? Got or not?? Have u ordered your cake?
Me: nope
Aunt: huh….
Me: Later I go order…
Therefore, I ordered a blueberry cheesecake at Southern Cake Shop myself since no one is as free as me. *sad*
Something awkward happened in the shop. Blur blur me!
When I was asked to fill in my information in the order form, I wrote my name as “Mok Hui Xin” (as if I’m filling some kind of formal form =.= stupid! why not just Mok or Emelyne??). And when it comes to wording on the cake… I was thinking of writing “Happy Birthday to Hui Xin” because my relatives all know me as Hui Xin. But then *OPPs*, I can’t let the girl know I’m actually buying a birthday cake for myself, pai seh lerr!! @.@( she was there standing and looking at what am I gonna write…hrmmm) For that reason, I decided to jot down “Happy Birthday to Emelyne!” HAHA. Will let everyone know Emelyne is my English name in case some of my relatives are not aware of it. Hehe
After the cake ordering, went to the bank to withdraw some money.
Aunt 7 called me again when I was driving.
Aunt: Do u want a bag for your birthday?
Me: what type or bag?
Aunt: Backpack kind of Bag, u can use it in Singapore.
Oh dear, I was thinking I am not going to carry that type of bag to work. =.=
Me: erm, I think u can just gimme Ang pau lor. HAHA! Easy and Fast ler! No need so mahuan. LOL
Aunt: LOL. Walauer so straight forward hor u! okay lah
Me: yup =p
When I was still a kid, I loved to receive presents, because for me Ang Pau is useless. All the Ang Paus I received were kept by my parents to be saved inside my piggy bank. When I grew up, I no longer like presents but MONEY inside the Ang Paus! Even if I save it in the bank, I still own an ATM card! So much easier to withdraw ler! HAHA! xD Everyone Loves Money!! Accept the fact!
Trapped in the traffic jam for a couple of minutes at 3rd mile…SienZ… then got myself a cup of pearl milk tea at Cool, just couldn’t stand the hot weather! And you know what? I nearly knock into a motorcyclist. I got freaked out when he beeped me. Feel so sorry to him… he must have got shocked badly. I have no idea where he comes from because I didn’t notice him at all when I was about to turn at the junction. Sorry Uncle...
At night, our lim teh gathering was off. Too bad~ But I still managed to visit Spring with bro and his girlfriend (though I need to be a bulb @.@) for my mask from The Face Shop. Hope it helps… my face is getting so dry….sadly T.T

My graduation
My graduation day fell on the 12th of February 2008. Unlike in Miri campus, Bentley campus’s graduation days were held in many days all over February. Tooooo many students!! One ceremony is like approximately 400+ students. Gosh…
All graduates were sitting in front where as visitors behind.
Turning back to face our parents as a respect
When we have just arrived campus for my graduation

With mum and dad
Jeanette, me, teck lim, ing ming and janet infront
colin, me, edna, delicia and teck lim graduating on the same day as me
With my business capstone friends (Monique my HK groupmate and Andrew my classmate)
Do you know how terrible it was to wear the regalia during summer season in Perth? Freakingly HOT!!! Hot till I felt kindda sick after that ceremony =(

When the ceremony had come to an end...I looked pale
However, the special thing for February’s graduation in Curtin is that we can enjoy nice fireworks just after the ceremony ended. Very nice =)
Actually, I wanted to show the video screening me on stage and also the fireworks taken by my bro but the files are toooooo big!! Can't bother to wait that long. But never mind, I came out with an idea of using my mobile phone to take it from my laptop. hehehe... Though it's blur but at least it shows something from it. =D
A short clip of my stage presentation:
Luckily nothing sia soi happen to me xD....I was rather worry of my foot step wearing the high heels. Should practice wearing high heels more I guess.
By the way, here are the 9 different photos taken in the studio. Have a look. =)

Well, I look nice in some photos, but some not so nice =.=
Many people said I don't really look like myself in the photos.....why?? =.=

Happy New Year
Happy New Year! (Though it’s a bit late)
How did I spend my new year’s eve? For the past 2 years I’d been spending my New Year ’s Eve countdown in KL’s clubs. BUT for this year…HaHa…I was at home watching TVBS Asia with parents. Quite nice though….because it was raining cats and dogs that night. xD
2007 has been erm… quite a fulfilling year for me?
In 2007, I…
- Ended my “unpleasant” love life, which is a new beginning for me
- Said goodbye to some friends in Miri Campus
- House got broke in and lost my new Toshiba laptop T.T
- Hurt someone badly... (Trust me, this is not what I want but I'm glad it turned out to be a good thing in the end)
- Had my last semester in Bentley Campus as a student exchange (really feel lucky that I got this chance!)
- Met a lot of new friends in Perth (especially my lovely housemates who gave me so much supports and advices, and some friends I hang out with...too many to list out here)
- Mingled around with people from different countries
- Met my old net friend in building 402, suprisingly!
- Got mistaken as a Korean?? *faint*
- Graduated in Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Marketing)
- Met the Voon’s family in Perth
- Experienced winter, spring and summer seasons in Perth
- Experienced somthing eerie one night in Perth (Gosh! really scared me off!!)
- Visited Melbourne and discovered the beauty of nature
- Worked as a waitress in Hans Café
- Started to LOVE sushi!
- Bought my first perfume!
What happened in year 2007 was really unexpected as I never think that I would come through so much in life. Like what people always say, we can never know what lies ahead our path. Moreover, I wanna thanks those who helped me so much last year. Will always remember you and cherish our friendship, no matter what...~
Besides, my hope for this New Year is to be successful in my career undertakings. I understand that it will be difficult for me in the starting but I am willing and ready to face all the obstacles! Wish me luck guys!
Last but not least, the most important thing that I need in this New Year is “Happiness”, not only for me but for everyone around me ^^ “Troubles”….shoooo far far away!
Once again, Happy New Year and Good Luck to everyone! *winkz*

My story in Melbourne
So I’ll try to explain as much as possible here. I went to Melbourne with my housemates, Hui Ji and Hui Yi. And we stayed at Tessa’s place. Tessa is my ex-housemate’s (G Jia) cousin and also my housemates’ ex-housemate (meaning she stayed in the same house as me before). Haha…what a small small world!
Tessa’s place is an apartment named Flagstaff Gardens located at La Trobe Street in the city. So imagine we saw trams, cars and people busy walking around once we came out from Flagstaff Gardens, unlike Perth, No, should be Bentley. Whatever lah… hehe
So what’s interesting in Melbourne? For me, Melbourne is more happening than Perth, of cause. And everywhere is food, food and food again. The food portion is BIG and slightly cheaper than Perth. So eating there is worth it!
My favorite place in Melbourne is all the chocolate stores there. You can sense the chocolate once you enter the store. I was like…waaaaaaaaaaaaaa so nice!!! Chocolates are made in different shapes and features to welcome the coming season of Christmas. And when you take a look at the price, you will WAAAAAAAAA even louder (inside your heart). If I am not mistaken, one pack of chocolate with 9 pieces will cost around A$25 to A$30. *SWT*
Once, we had high tea in one of the chocolate stores, named Koko Black. And you know what? I got melted once I taste the chocolate, especially the chocolate drinks! Gosh! Love it SO MUCHHH!! My housemate took some photos of it but too bad I forgot to get it from her.
Besides hanging around in the city we also visited The Great Ocean Road. The trip cost A$110 per person and was half-day long from 8.30am to 8.30pm. Trust me, if you are a nature lover, you will love this trip very much!! I fell in love with the scenery which can never be seen in Malaysia.
However, the drawback of this trip was the flies-attacked (due to the season). EWwww… very very disgusting! Imagine a cluster of flies stick on your back or your butt. This was what I saw from people around me. GELIK CHIN I tell you!!! Like what I mentioned before, the flies are not attracted to food but humans!! Because of this, I kept on flapping my jackets all the way to avoid flies sticking to me!! Haha!
What else….Hrmm…
Oh ya we walked from city to suburb just to taste the famous Brunetti cakes. It was a long walk to the destination and my legs got sore and accidentally slipped down on the way back. *sob* Luckily there were no one else beside my own friends. If not memang SIA SOI!! No worries, I was fine but my butt HURTs! Numbed awhile and remained normal after a few seconds. Wakaka!
Brunetti's cakes
Ok lah, I think that’s all about my trip in Melbourne. Too much to talk about liawz! Ciao~
